Adventures in Thrifting: Main Street, USA

This Saturday I thought that I would visit a couple thrift stores a few towns over that I don’t make it to very often.  Although my trip was not as fruitful as I had hoped I did manage to grab an awesome emblematic turtle tie, eat too many delicious sliders, and enjoy a little Main Street, USA. I also picked up my newly resoled Weejuns on the way out of town. Thanks to everyone who suggested that I try to save them. I hope that you enjoy the pictures!

Great photos of beautiful architecture in Bellefontaine. i have been through the area. My wife is from Celina where “it’s always hotter in the corn fields”. I think it’s always good to save the shoes if you can.

Walter Denton – Thanks Walter! Bellefonataine had a great downtown and it seems like it used to be really large for the size of the city.I made my way up through Urbana, West Liberty and ended in Bellefontaine. There are pics from each. I agree with your wife and think that people often underestimate the hot summers and cold winters that we have here in the Midwest.

Sole looks good. Was the resole affordable?

Love the photos, I will have to make a visit there sometime. So glad the shoe situation worked out too! “Reduce, reuse, recycle”!
